Welcome to the Griffith PTC web page. We invite you to learn about our committee and join us as we play an active roll supporting our teachers, parents and students. A $2 fee allows you to be a voting member of the PTC. This money enables us to make small contributions to our teachers’ extra curricular events, purchase small tokens of appreciation during Teacher Appreciation Week, and support various other activities.
You must join the PTC at the school your child attends! If you have 2 children at 2 different schools, you must join both in order to be a member at each of those schools.
One way you can become better informed is by attending our bi-monthly meetings, which are announced in the Athletic calendar and in the school’s monthly newsletter. You are not required to attend our meetings, but we sincerely hope you will. You may contact an officer, listed above, at any time to pass an idea to us, or ask how you can help! The High School PTC Meetings will be held at the school in the LGI room, on the following Tuesdays:
September 9th at 6 pm
November 11th at 6 pm
January 13th at 6 pm
March 10th at 6 pm
May 12th at 6 pm
Another way to get involved is folding the newsletters one Friday each month from 8-10 am. We also have a lot of fun earning money for our activities by wrapping gifts at Borders during the holidays.
Market Day is a time for students, teachers, and parents to get involved! Every four weeks, ‘Pick-up day’ begins in the Middle School lobby at 3:00 p.m. The assigned teacher and his/her students unload the truck and box the orders. Customers may pick up their orders from 4:30-5:30. The High School and Middle School alternate months to work Market Day, beginning with the High School in August and Middle School in September, and so on. We hope this will encourage you to join your PTC! Our main membership drive is during registration, but you can get on board anytime before 2nd semester. We appreciate all of our parents for supporting us with their time and energy over the years.
